The Italianate porch with tripartite posts and jigsawcut brackets dates to the late nineteenth century. The house was constructed for Solomon Hapgood's (see#7) son Charles and his wife Harriet, who lived here for most of their lives and had a large farmstead. There is also a c. I9oo ban behind the house.
